Etiquette for chatting while playing at 888bingo

One of the great things about online bingo in general, but especially 888bingo, is the social atmosphere that comes along with the game play. Many people think online bingo is just one person, sitting at his/her computer waiting for a winning card. The truth is, online bingo is just as social as its offline counterpart, due to chat applet technology.

The chat applet is great to keep yourself entertained during game play, but you can’t act any way you want, just because you are anonymous. To keep everyone happy and having a good time, there are some general ground rules at http://www.888bingo.com that you should follow.

First, try to be sensitive. Don’t use racial or derogatory remarks against other players. Remember, everyone is here trying to have a good time…don’t put someone else down because it makes you feel better after you loose a game.

If someone is having a losing streak or can’t seem to win a game, don’t make rude remarks to them or be rude to them. Chances are, at one point while you are playing online bingo, you will be in the same situation. Respect others and they will respect you in return.

Try not to argue with other players. A little heated debate is always welcome, but don’t let it elevate into something the moderators have to get involved in. More often than not, these arguments are about something insignificant and would be resolved best if both players just went their separate ways.

This probably goes without saying, but don’t go into multiple chat rooms and spam people with your commercial messages. Believe it or not, people playing at 888bingo want to play bingo, not buy your product or try your service. If you are caught spamming the chat rooms, you will be dealt with accordingly.

As long as you show respect for others and think before you speak, the chat rooms at 888bingo should be an enjoyable experience. Take part in the 888bingo community and your online bingo playing experience will be just that much better!

WPT Vote to Accept PartyGaming Offer

In news seemingly not motivated by pure greed, after receiving a last minute offer from Mandalay Media for $35.5 million, an offer approximately three times the $12 million offer from Peerless Media Ltd., a subsidiary of PartyGaming, WPT Enterprises. Inc. opted not to postpone its shareholders meeting scheduled for Oct. 30. According to a Form 8-K filed early Monday morning, shareholders voted to approve the Peerless Media bid, with the closing of the transaction slated to occur early this month.

The form stated “In the final vote count by the independent inspectors of election, 13,996,639 WPTE common shares (approximately 67.93 percent of the outstanding common shares) were represented at the Meeting, in person or by proxy, and the Agreement was approved by 85.28 percent of the shares voted and 57.93 percent of the shares outstanding”.

I personally am only a free poker player when it comes to playing online, so I don”t really follow the industry that closely.

Cool New Spiderman Slot

And from the realm of cool casino stuff, a couple of weeks ago, Dublin online-casino programmer CryptoLogic Ltd. announced the release of its latest casino bonus pack, which includes two new online slots: “Spiderman Revelations” and “Dragon Sword.”

“Spiderman Revelations” is a 25-line slot that accepts a maximum bet of $125. Its theme is based on Marvel Comics’ “Spiderman” series and features three jackpot levels, as well as several bonus games.

In one “Spiderman Revelations” bonus game, players win bonus multipliers for each train commuter they rescue from Dr. Octopus. Players who rescue enough commuters can win up to 5,000 times their original bets.

The second game in CryptoLogic’s new package, “Dragon Sword,” is a high-fantasy themed, 25-line slot that accepts a maximum bet of $500. It offers a 15 free-spin bonus as well as a multiplier that gives players 6,000 times their initial bets.

Other notable “Dragon Sword” features include two bonus games – one of which triggers when three flashing swords line up. Players then choose between five treasure chests and win bonus multipliers for every “golden sword” they find. After they’ve chosen three chests an animated sequence follows in which the game’s knight character battles a dragon.

The final feature of the bonus pack is an update for CryptoLogic’s “Atlantic City Blackjack.” According to the company’s press release, the update improves the game’s graphics and adds auto-betting and auto-strategy options.

“CryptoLogic promised more innovative games, more often - and we take this commitment seriously,” CryptoLogic vice president Justin Thouin said. “Even with the most acclaimed Internet casino software on the market, CryptoLogic continues to break new ground, delivering exceptional experiences to players and profits to our licensees.”

All three games are currently available on InterCasino.com and, CryptoLogic said, will “be live on other sites… in the near future.”

CryptoLogic Moving Poker Out

CryptoLogic Limited, is a Dublin-based online casino software developer. They have announced that it will begin merging its major poker customers into Boss Media AB’s International Poker Network beginning early next year. Hopes that this merger coupled with other actions will help to generate significant savings that could rise to as high as $15 million per year.

“CryptoLogic’s aggressive action on its new strategy, as witnessed in several recent announcements, and our new agreement with Boss Media, is a major step in our journey back to growth, profitability and returning shareholder value,” said Brian Hadfield, President and Chief Executive Officer for CryptoLogic.

“This partnership provides our poker customers with access to one of the largest poker networks in the world while helping CryptoLogic reduce costs substantially. Also, it will allow us to focus on the continued development and licensing of the Internet’s most innovative casino games and to leverage our lead in branded content games in partnership with the world’s top entertainment brands.”

Boss Media is a subsidiary of America’s GTech Corporation, one of the world’s leading gaming technology and services companies, which is itself a division of Lottomatica, the Italian commercial lottery operator.

CryptoLogic stated that its poker licensees, including brands such as InterPoker and Parbet, would join the International Poker Network early in 2009 while continuing to benefit from its own back-office services. This is good news for shareholders because Poker has been plagued with liquidity problems for a long-time.

Tag Team Poker

Ever since poker was created it has been one person against the world with no outside help, no outside interference just one person out for themselves. However, this could all be about to change if a US company get their way with a new patented scoring system which allows players to play in normal tournaments but also brings in a team feel to the game. Will it take off?  If you are not too greedy that is.

There are many who already feel that the idea is a non-starter because poker has always been every person for them self. The idea of team sponsors or team support has always been in the back ground but never actually playing for yourself and a team. The new scoring system has yet to be revealed but could it be something new to catch the eye of the crowds? Something to get them flocking back to the casinos?

There is no doubt that the casino industry is going through a very difficult time at the moment and maybe something different, something out of the ordinary would do the trick? How would you feel about playing for a team and then sharing your winnings with your team members?  Personally I love it, deal me in, especially if there is a free poker version to try it out.

Slot Machine Convention

Casino delegates will discuss slot machines, among other issues, at the fourth annual Florida Gaming Summit next month.  The gambling industry event, which runs from October 6th and 7th, will allow figures from the sector to debate issues surrounding the success of the slots in the eastern state.

According to a statement released by the conference organisers, three pari-mutuel facilities are planning to open slots venues in Miami-Dade County.

This will be one of the subjects up for discussion during the two days at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

“The performance of slot machines in Broward County has been the subject of much discussion and conjecture,” said Michael Pollock, managing director of Spectrum Gaming Group, co-producer of the conference alongside BNP Media.

He added that this year’’s summit panel will aim to answer questions on how this has gone in relation to the proposed new properties.

Around 300 experts from the gambling industry are expected to attend the conference, according to the event’’s official website. I personally find slot machines boring so the day they invent one that can hold my interest I know they would be really achieving something.

Bodog Poker Room Sinking

One of the top online poker websites www.bodogpoker.com is faltering in the wake of trouble with the US Dept. of Justice and the likes of Cake Poker, which has surpassed Bodog Poker in recent weeks. Cake Poker, a recently established website which takes only US players, this week attracted at least 400 more players than Bodog Poker – and this figure adds further alarm when it is considered that Bodog have been relegated from the top 10 most popular online gambling sites, currently ranking 14th – and beaten by websites such as Ultimate Bet, Pacific Poker, Absolute Poker and Microgaming.

In response to these problems, the Bodog team have had to lay off a large proportion of their staff – and have hinted they may be leaving the online market for good. I don”t think bodog will make it to 2009.

Cheaters Sometimes Prosper

So where and what does a poker cheat do in their ”off” time.  Weel, AJ Green (also known as Allan Grimard) has been located in Costa Rica. You might recall that Grimard was implicated in the notorious “Absolute Poker In-House Cheating Scandal”.

“He just bought a brand new Toyota Prado Land Cruiser,” a source told Gambling911.com.

The source also revealed that Grimard has a huge yacht and is building a gigantic mansion in Los Suenos, Costa Rica, a posh Pacific coast resort area.

Green was a low level supervisor at Nine.com before joining the Absolute Poker team. Thus far, company officials have refused to hold Green culpable of the cheating even though all fingers were pointed his way.  Grimard’’s salary was not such that he could afford such lavish amenities such as the yacht, mansion and Prado.

Gambling911 also broke the news Tuesday that an investor in Absolute Poker has been under a sealed indictment.  Last month, Poker Players Alliance Chairman Alfonse D”Amato order transparency related to the investigation of an “internal cheating scandal” at Absolute Poker and UltimateBet.com, two sister poker sites.

“The Poker Players Alliance is the political and public policy voice for poker players in America. Central to our mission are advocacy efforts in Washington D.C. and around the country to protect poker players from misguided and vague laws and to establish licensed and regulated Internet poker in the U.S.,” D”Amato said.

He points out that the PPA isn”t a regulator body for poker players or the poker industry, but the organization feels compelled to speak out when its mission is potentially undermined by actions which present Internet poker in a negative light.

“Trust is paramount in poker. Sadly, this foundation has been undercut by admissions from two well-known online poker companies, Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, that cheating has occurred on their poker sites,” D”Amato said.

“The Poker Players Alliance condemns any and all cheating in poker no matter the forum in which it is played. Because of the current legal uncertainties and the lack of federal regulation and oversight, it is especially troubling when cheating occurs in online poker.”

In response, the the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which oversees both Absolute Poker and UltimateBet, has hired a former New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement director, Frank Catania, to look into the matter.  Whether this is just pretend or a serious invetigation is still to be seen.

Poker Player Here

Hello all you poker players and other gamblers out there, my name is Paul and my favorite online game is poker but I do enjoy a little slots or blackjack now-and-again.  I used to work out in Las Vegas as a blackjack dealer when I was younger and just sort of fell in love with the gambling lifestyle.  My dream is to start playing poker professionally.
